| Topher | I'm there. |
| perrencecoriander | So there :-) |
| pidg | wow. yes. |
| Jha_in | I'm there 2.. |
| Mattrock | That's a pretty cool looking evening. |
| yaoya | nice one. |
| smell my cheese | nice work Alex :) ... no way in the world Im NOT gonna be there for this dude |
| Japes | Fucking good job, Alex. I remember you talking about doing this about a year ago. Glad to see it's happening! It's in the diary. |
| TechDiff | looks awesome! |
| missaw | will see you all there! |
| weyheyhey | yes yes yes! |
| wintermute | Just to let you guys know I've been to check out the soundsystem there and it's amazing. You're gonna get a clear, clean crisp sound that'll blow your head off. I'm going to be doing a braindance special for all you guys, basically it's gonna the early bird special (£10) but you'll have a 24 hour head start over all other punters so you'll assured a ticket. In return could all of you spread the word? Also if you could join the group and event page (and invite your friends) I'd really appreciate it! Group: [www.facebook.com] Event: [www.facebook.com] |
| Solo Strike | Nice lineup, will try to make it with crew. Ceephax bringing the gear? And how big is Cable, not been there before. |
| wintermute | Ok guys, couple of things to announce: Bizzy B will not be playing unfortunately, however I'm looking to book him for another date. Solo: Yep Andy is playing a full Ceephax live show, the stage is small so it's gonna be a fucking headache to get it all on and off but it'll be worth it! Cable is 1000 people officially, 1200 max but it can hold more though. I has a Nova soundystem (only one of 3 in this country) and it's absolutely amazing. Aesthetically it's a bit of a rip off of Fabric, but it has a really nice industrial vibes, with a huge smoking area/chill out space. PLEASE READ, IMPORTANT: Due to restrictions places by Southwark council (mostly due to shootings at SeOne and at Ministry of sound) ID scans will be enforced. Neither the venue or myself want this but it's a condition of their license. What does this mean? ALL club goers WILL HAVE to provide photographic ID to be scanned. They will keep the photo on it for the duration of the event and then the data will be wiped after, providing nothing criminal happens. Failure to bring it with you will be you will be barred from entering the club NO exceptions. Refunds will not be provided if you forget it! Sorry guys but there's no way round this :( |
| pidgin | fucking hell. did you have to fill out a form 696? |
| wintermute | Not yet Pidg, but I wouldn't be surprised if I have to. After one shooting at SeOne, a couple of shootings at ministry of sound (including a beheading) Southwark council had enough. |
| Japes | What is form 696? I heard about the SeOne shooting. Not nice. I would say "us dozy, nerdy 'Intelligent Dancers' are unlikely to push in front of someone at the bar, let alone knife someone in the eye" but that's just as daft as saying "all dancehall/bashment/soca/grime nights attract violence". Incidentally, one of my friends runs a grime & uk garage night and has never had anything but well behaved punters. |
| Szuumm | I remember once at Electrowerkz someone bumped into me & we both apologised to each other... Lucky to get out alive! |
| noise | flying over for this |
| pidgin | Form 696 is the one that asks "are you going to be playing music with blacks in it?" then if you tick it, the police raid the venue. |
| collige | ^Funniest thing I've read today. |
| Mattrock | Beheaded? That's a bit much. |
| yaoya | serves em right for going into ministry of sound, i reckon. |
| Japes | ^ Ooph! pidgin said: Form 696 is the one that asks "are you going to be playing music with blacks in it?" then if you tick it, the police raid the venue. That one. Yes. An abomination. I saw Congo Natty on Channel 4 news talking about it once. |
| Mattrock | What counts as photo ID? I don't have my driving license and I'd rather not let someone scan my passport. And yeah, I really trust clubs and their staff with my ID anyway. The security guards are all paedo-gangsters. |
| Topher | Mattrock said: Beheaded? That's a bit much. Well-deserved depending on the music genre. |
| pidgin | I hope nobody is planning to play bashment. It attracts gang members. |
| Japes | What happens if you play just one bashment track but it's sandwiched between some baroque and romantic classical? |
